Mercy Thuranira

Mercy joined Friends of Kenyan Orphans (FOKO) board in January 2020. However, FOKO has been a part of her life since she was 10 years old. Mercy counts herself very fortunate to be among the first beneficiaries of FOKO and a pioneer graduate of St. Clare. Mercy received an academic scholarship from Chestnut Hill College where she pursued a degree in Accounting. She is currently a senior auditor with Deloitte, Philadelphia.

Mercy has witnessed the first-hand impact that FOKO has on so many marginalized young people in Kenya (herself included). She believes being on the FOKO board gives her an opportunity to give back.
