Dan Scales
Dan Scales became a board member of Friends of Kenyan Orphans in 2024.
He is a highly experienced Food Industry Executive, with a career spanning 45 years at Fortune 500, privately held, and private equity-owned consumer products companies. He has extensive knowledge of company/industry boards, acquisitions, and divestitures, corporate turnarounds, and organizational development.
In December 2022, Dan and his team successfully marketed and sold a multi-million dollar food company to an industry-leading Private Equity firm. He is currently retired but remains active in the food industry, providing consulting work around company acquisitions and board support.
Dan has previously served on industry boards such as the Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance and the International Foodservice Manufacturers of America, including the IMFA Education Foundation Board.
He graduated from Siena College in upstate New York with a B.S. degree, and he also has a graduate degree in business from Lesley University Cambridge, MA.
