JOYFUL JOY AND FEARLESS FRIDAH!
Mr. Bud has been busy at St. Clare locating new bloggers for FOKO. These two form 3 girls are members of the photojournalism club. Both have expressed an interest in taking photos and sending information that FOKO can post online. Meet Fridah.
“I am Fridah Gacheri and I come from Nkubu Village. I came to St. Clare when I was nine years old and I am now in form 3 [junior]. My favorite activity at St. Clare is playing football [soccer]. I am the goal keeper, a position I like, because I am providing the safety for the team. I have a brother and a sister. When I graduate I would like to study science and lecture at the university.”
Our second new blogger is Joy. Joy Kendi, a form 3 student at St. Clare Centre for Girls. Joy came to St. Clare in 2009 when she was 10 years old. Joy is from Nchiru, the local village close to St. Clare. She has two sisters and two brothers. Joy would like to be a journalist and plans to take classes in that field at the university after she graduates next year. Joy has a beautiful voice and loves singing in the choir.
