ST. CLARE CHILD CARE CENTRE

The St. Clare Child Care Centre, the final component of the Life Skills center, is now up and working.  This centre is located on the bottom floor of the Life Skills Centre. Sister Stella, who has a degree in early childhood education, with assistance of a local woman, is the director.  This centre gives St. Clare students practical childcare skills generally learned at home from their mothers or other village women.  It also provides childcare for some N'Chiru village families. The computer lab on the third floor is now complete. In this lab students will learn essential computer skills Adjacent to the Life Skills Centre is the bakery; once an oven is purchased, another skill, baking will be added to complete the life skills' curriculum.
