SEEING WHAT'S UP AT SHALOM SCHOOL ~ part 1

The new dorm is being constructed.

Father Francis Gaciata, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Mitunguu, Kenya, also runs Shalom School, an orphanage.

Father Gaciata has a waiting list of approximately 400 children, so he asked Friends of Kenyan Orphans for assistance in building a dormitory, which will house the children living here.

FOKO agreed to be a minor partner in the project if Father could find another foundation to help.  He has partnered with Melamango, an Italian group, who jumped at the idea of this partnership.  Melamango is providing 85% of the funding with FOKO supplying the rest.  Melamango sends folks to Shalom School several times a year as they do all the on site inspections.
