RUNNING THE RIFT

Each Sunday the children from St. Clare and St. Philomena (Home for children who are HIV/AIDS positive) gather at St. Clare for mass together. After a recent Mass Fr. Riwa called up all the children from St. Clare and St. Philomena who are running in the Rift Valley marathon next weekend.   (This marathon follows the route of the Kenyan runners who train there and win marathons all over the world.)  Sixteen children have been vigorously training for weeks and will make the five-hour trip to participate.  (Father Riwa himself leads by example, jogging 5 kilometers each morning at 4:30).
