MEET MADAM PRESIDENT

The Alumnae Association of St. Clare could not have selected a better person as their first president.  Irene Kawira, a 2013 graduate, came to St. Clare as a young child with her siblings when both parents died.  After graduating from St. Clare, Irene received her certificate as a primary school teacher.  She is currently working at St. Francis Home for Boys.  Irene says, "Teaching is in my blood.  I love my pupils and I wake up everyday determined to impart knowledge, skills and positive attitudes in my learners.  This brings great joy to me."

As the newly elected Alumnae president, Irene stood in front of her peers and encouraged them to remember, "We are one family and family members never forget each other."
