Because of her technology expertise, Lena Kennedy spoke with all the secondary students at St. Clare about social media and Internet safety.  Lena notes that the girls participated more than any other audience with whom she has spoken on these subjects. Lena was the currier of letters to the girls forms her son's school in Pennsylvania.

What really stuck out for Lena was how well Father Riwa stretches the food budget as well as how much food Father produces.  Father raises pigs to be really lean so the girls have a healthier diet.  He focuses not only on feeding the girls, but also concentrates on how their diets impact their health. 

Lena now has a much clearer understanding of how there is no real governmental help for these children.  She says, “Without our [FOKO] help, they would have no hope.”  She sees that FOKO can make an impact with its higher education program also.
