HERE A CHICK! THERE A CHICK! EVERYWHERE A CHICK, CHICK!

Feeding 1040 children at the Children’s Village (St. Francis School for Boys and St. Clare Centre for Girls) is daunting.  So when Madam Lorenzia the chairperson of the Nchiru Children's Village Advisory Council, offered to help, Father Riwa was thrilled.  Madam Lorenzia has a huge chicken farm, of over 1000 chickens.

Recently she called Fr. Riwa and told him the chickens, the chicken sheds and the remaining chicken feed were his. If he wanted to, he could sell the eggs and support the children, which Father has decided not to do. Father noted, "My children will now be able to have eggs three times a week.  Why would I sell these when our children can benefit?"

So now Father Riwa is a major chicken farmer…overnight.
